Self-Esteem Courses:

Teen Self-Esteem runs over 4 weeks. This course is designed for vulnerable and at risk young people. The course is run once every school term and more if needed.  Teens also gain the skills on how to deal with Peer pressures and Bulling along with accepting themselves as an individual. This course is run 4 times a year once every school term.

Week 1: What is Self Esteem - finding out there strengths and goals?

Week 2: Maintaining a Healthy self. Helpful ideas on saying NO to peer pressures

Week 3: What can you do if you are being bullied? Maintaining a positive image.

Week 4: Follow-up this is so we can address any topics that the Teens might require further information/support on.

 

Women’s Self-Esteem runs over 5 weeks. This is for women who have low self-esteem because off Family Violence, Relationship breakdowns, Loss of employment etc. This course is run 7 times a year and we do one on one also as some women are unable to be in a group situation.

Week 1: What is Self-Esteem – Finding out there strengths and setting some goals?

Week 2: Practicing Self Nurturing

Week 3: Combating Self Consciousness

Week 4: How to be Assertive

Week 5: Follow Up

 

Other services we offer:

Nutritional Cooking on Budget - with Nutritional Therapist Helen Curtin (Dip NT). This course runs over a 5 week period. This is a hand’s on course. Clients receive information on cooking nutritional meals on a limited budget. Helen Curtin is a Nutritional Therapist (Dip NT) who facilitates this course she has returned home after 9 years training and working in London as a chef. At the end of each course the participants receive a recipe book with all the recipes they have prepared and cooked with a break down of dollar value per serving. This course runs 6 times a year and more if funding permits.

 

Budget Advice to our clients: This is offered to our clients as part of a wraparound service

 

Support Group - for parents who have children with ADHD/ADD this is run fortnightly at the centre. It’s a great way of parents supporting each other with the challenges that children with ADHD/ADD have.
