Services

Every day Corrections works with a variety of groups and agencies to protect the public and ensure that offenders receive the help they need to turn their lives around. Our 2,000 registered volunteers are invaluable in our work to reduce re-offending.

Community Corrections staff manage offenders subject to the entire range of community based sentences imposed by New Zealand Courts and the New Zealand Parole Board (NZPB). We also complete provision of advice reports to Court for sentencing matters as well as pre-release assessment reports for the NZPB.
